Friday nights at Dance Moves: In 2009, SFSDS followed through on its pledge that a dance program be initiated to help our dance friends find their comfort zone and “Just Dance” and began the Friday night dances at Dance Moves in Lauderdale-By-The-Sea. SFSDS is enabling the dance community to improve skills and meet new friends at our weekly lessons and open dance. The syllabus applied provides the opportunity to participate and broaden dance horizons. It is the intention that by the end of each month participants in the lessons will be able to dance the basics. This program began with a series of Friday nights at Dance Moves and on the 3rd Saturday of each month at our dance at the Hollywood Moose Lodge. Beginner West Coast Swing is taught at every dance with different intermediate level dances taught each month.
Dance details: Lessons at 8:00 p.m. Open dancing from 8:50-12:00 a.m. Beginner and intermediate lessons are included with paid admission. Admission fees are $10.00 for members; $15.00 non-members. Members of other swing clubs pay the member fee if you show your membership card. A light dinner is offered for $3.00; soda or water can be purchased for $1.00. There may be additional fees for special events and/or workshops.

From I-95, take Commercial Blvd, east (towards the ocean). Continue over the Intracoastal Bridge and look for the Qwik Stop on your right (the SE corner of Seagrape) - 1 block before State Road A1A.

Dance details: Beginner Lessons at 7:15 - 11.45 p.m. Intermediate Lessons from 7:30 - 8:30. Open dancing from 8:30-11:45 p.m.. Beginner and intermediate lessons are included with paid admission. Admission fees are $12.00 for members; $17.00 non-members. Members of other swing clubs pay the member fee if you show your membership card. A light dinner and coffee are included with paid admission. Other drinks - cash bar. There may be additional fees for special events and/or workshops.
Location and directions: The Hollywood Moose Lodge is located at 2907 Taylor Street, Hollywood, FL 33020.
From I-95, take the SR-820/Hollywood Blvd Exit, East. Go North on N 28th Avenue and then West on Taylor Street. The Lodge will be on the right hand side at the end of the street.
From Florida's Turnpike, take the SR-820 Exit (# 49), east, towards Hollywood. Turn right (east) onto Hollywood Blvd (also Pines Blvd., FL-820). Continue East on Hollywood Blvd past I-95. Go North on N 28th Avenue and then West on Taylor Street. The Lodge will be on the right hand side at the end of the street.

Dance details: 2pm to 6pm. We will be celebrating all birthday's for the month. Birthday cake and snacks will be provided. Admission is $10 for anyone.
